Two of the most picturesque championship courses on the PGA Tour and are the Plantation Course and the Waialae Country Club; both are located in Hawaii, one in Maui and the second in Honolulu respectfully. Both these courses have breath taking picture post card sea and backdrop mountain views.
One of the most popular destinations for golfers looking for an all-round vacation is Hawaii, there are approximately 27 championship level golf courses on this relatively small island, and when combined with the beautiful weather, drop dead views, and amazing five star resorts, it’s no wonder that Hawaii is rapidly becoming a number one golfing holiday destination.
Hawaii is well aware of what it has to offer and how to market to its strengths, that is why Hawaii golf packages are so popular. Therefore if you love your golf and would like to frequent paradise in the process then Hawaii is one place you must visit.

They tell you that you drive for show and putt for dough, but ask any golfer and nothing is more thrilling than hitting a long tee shot. Every golfer these days have become obsessed with driving the ball as far as possible. Even golf manufacturers are spending money to develop clubs to do that for the average golfer as well. These clubs can become very expensive and will not guarantee a greater distance if not used properly. Here are some tips to help you hit the ball further from the tee.

One of the most important things when it comes to hitting longer off the tee is swing mechanics. The mechanics of your swing has a great impact on your ability to drive the ball. Many golf pro shops have swing analyzers which will let you check your swing and see if you need to tweak it. Properly fitted equipment is something that you will need to look into as well. Many people will grab a driver off the shelf and think that is all there is too it. Golfers wish is was that easy?

The truth is have custom fitted equipment for your swing will give you a much better chance to hit longer off the tee. The saying you are what you hit is very true these days. Getting the best golf clubs and golf balls can help you driver longer tee shots. Always remember though without proper swing mechanics the best equipment in the world will be useless to you. Hitting longer from the tee is a combine effort that all work together for success.

Golf clubs and the process of choosing a set can make the difference between struggling at the game of golf or having good round after good round. Most people think it is as easy as grabbing the first set that comes to your liking. If that is true we would all be great golfers. It just does not work that way. Here are some tips to keep in mind when it comes to choosing the best set of golf clubs for you.

Golfers these days come in all sizes, shapes and strengths, but one of the most overlooked parts of buying golf clubs is shaft length. Most golfers look at name, price, but forget that you must have golf clubs with the proper shaft length for your body type. When a shaft is too short or long you have to compensate and many times this will affect your golf game in an adverse way. Make proper shaft length a priority when choosing a set of golf clubs.

Another area that many people overlook is grips on a golf club. Everyone’s hands and grips are different and have custom grips put on a set of golf clubs is a very good idea. It gives you a greater feel and is made just for you. Many golfers are surprised what a difference this makes when choosing a set of golf clubs. When choosing a set of golf clubs do not get more than you need. Many golf stores will try and sell you more than you need. Get a standard set of golf clubs and if you need specialty clubs you can always add them later. By following some of these tips you can choose the golf clubs that are perfect for you.

Have you heard the old adage “practice makes perfect?” It is important to practice on your golf swing however are you, the player practicing correctly? Try subscribing to the idea that “perfect practice” makes perfect and what that idea is.

How many players started out the season getting a lesson from their professional to cure “topping the ball”, “fixing” that slice or reducing all those “3″ putts then as the season ended, the player finds themselves no better off? The professional no doubt gave the player some tools and drills to be practiced but did the player follow through?

Get disciplined, establish a practice and pre-swing routine for each shot while at the driving range. Don’t go into the pro-shop, get that bucket of balls, whack all those balls back onto the range in a span of 15 minutes. Take your time on each practice shot and focus exactly on what your professional asked you to work on.

A good practice routine to start out with would be pulling out one of your short irons be it sand or pitching wedge. This will help with getting the player loose taking away the “desire” to pull out that driver and “crushing” it 300 yards. Stand back behind the ball and pick your target line for each shot. During address ensure you have a proper grip, stance and club face alignment. The players thoughts should now be on two things, good ball striking and executing the instructions the professional passed on.

After the practice session, let your professional know how it went, stay disciplined and the results will come.

New to the game? Wondering which golf ball you should be using? Browsing the sporting goods store shelf in bewilderment at all the choices? The question of which ball to play, or more specifically, does the brand matter, is is a question that usually comes up amongst people who play recreational. That being said, the pro’s all have their “special ball”. They all play a brand and it is for more than just an endorsement contract reason. It is likely that watching the pro’s has got you thinking about which brand to use in the first place.

If you’re a beginner, let it be understood that the brand of the ball you play is less critical. As you will probably lose most of the balls you play during those months or years that you are sharpening your game, it is advisable that you opt for economy, even selecting used balls when they are available. in the beginning, just focus on not using balls that are damaged but not on the brand. The condition of a golf ball will have a greater impact on whether or not the shot you hit is any good or not at this stage in your game.

However, disregarding the issue of damage, is there really any material difference between one particular golf ball brand and another? While it’s true that there are many scientific tests that are done to create differentiating factors between golf balls, and the makers of these golf balls use these tests as the basis of their marketing campaigns and pricing strategies, the average golfer will not really benefit one way or the other based on using one brand of golf ball over another.

Chipping from the sand is one of the hardest, if not the hardest, play on the golf course. Of course, with some practice and the right technique, chipping from the sand can become as easy as any other swing in your game. There are three steps that you need to practice for chipping from the sand.

The first step is to just concentrate on keeping your eyes focused on the target and your head down. Explained a bit later, you won’t be aiming for the ball itself, so you must concentrate on your target. The ultimate goal is to get the ball out of the sand to a more manageable play surface.

The second step is to determine and concentrate on the strike zone. As stated earlier, the strike zone when chipping from the sand is not the ball itself. You actually aim for a few inches behind the ball. Concentration on the strike zone is very important. If you hit too far back, your swing will lose the necessary power to lift the ball up and out of the bunker. Too close and you may end up just burying the ball in the sand.

The third step to practice is to maintain a constant speed through the strike zone. Maintaining a constant speed throughout the swing will help you ensure that you are able to hit the ball and get it out of the much dreaded sand pit and onto the green.

These steps, practiced individually at first and then put together, will help you to gain the confidence necessary to perfect your swing when the ball ends up in the bunker.

There are many golf club makers today. Many of them are very good. But few are good enough to be rated on the top. It’s important to remember that the manufacturers are rated based on product sales. Custom golf clubs are made by several manufacturers, however the custom sector of golf club manufacturing is in a league of its own.

Currently, the top five golf club makers are Nike, TaylorMade, Callaway, Cobra, and Titleist. TaylorMade was 1979 by Gary Adams who wanted a better club to use with the two-piece balls. It went from a four person shop to one of the top five since it was first started.

Cobra is number two on the favorites list. Cobra was started in 1973 by Thomas Crow, an amateur golf player. Originally, they manufactured custom clubs but eventually expanded to standard clubs to place them in the top five today. Callaway is a well-known name in golf today. Started in the 80s by Ely Callaway, he personally would deliver the clubs to his clients.

Titleist began in 1910 as a rubber processing company and began making golf balls in 1932. The company later merged with a club maker and has been producing quality clubs since. Nike, as we all know, began as an athletic shoe manufacturer. Through the years, Nike has expanded into athletic apparel, an expanded shoe line specific to all sports, as well as sporting equipment such as golf clubs. Tiger Woods uses Nike golf clubs and currently holds a 20 year agreement with them.

There are literally millions of club makers out there. A person generally tries the products and picks which one they like best!

Believe it or not, 80% of all bad shots happen before you even hit the ball. Poor grip, poor stance, and last but not least club face alignment can be the result of a bad shot. Work very hard on those three making sure they are correct at address. If a player doesn’t have these fundamentals down, swings tip won’t help the player much.

What good is a players swing if their grip is to tight? That can cause a player to cast the club resulting in a outside to in motion on the down swing which leads to slicing. The players ideal swing plane should be inside to out. A good thought for this is when the players starts their down swing, their hands come along side of their waistline as though brushing one’s zipper with the momentum of the down swing turning both shoulders and waist toward the target.

A great drill on the practice range to work on a players stance is to find your target. Lay a club down on the ground, point the grip to the target using the club as like a arrow. Step back behind the club make sure the club on the ground is pointed to the target. Grab a short iron and at address have the toes of both feet parallel with the shaft of the club on the ground. The players knees should be flexed and not bent with a good back posture.

The player has addressed the ball, their grip is proper and stance is correct. All that is left is make sure your club face is not closed nor open but square to the target.

When it comes to talking about the top golf courses in the United States, you have to look at both the private ones and the public ones. There are the courses that have hosted numerous PGA major championships and high caliber golf tournaments to the diamond in the rough public courses that offer golf for all ages of the family. Still, when it comes to the top golf courses in the United States, you have to look for course design and overall beauty.

When it comes to the top golf courses in the US, you have to look at prestige and also look at accessibility. When it comes to the factor of being able to host a PGA major but still at the same time being able to offer golf to the public without restricted access, Bethpage State Golf Park in Long Island, New York would rank at the top. This is the site of the infamous Bethpage Black Course which has hosted numerous United States Open tournaments for the PGA. Then there is Augusta National. This is the home of the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. If you are able to tee off during the Masters, you are certainly one of the top golfers on the planet.

Golf is a sport that is played around the world and enjoyed by men, women and children alike. Having the best irons is necessary for the seasoned player. Every year golf players look to see what is out there to improve their game. There are notable differences in the golf clubs used today compared to 10 years ago. Here is a brief overview of the Adams Idea a70S irons and woods.

What is the Adams Idea a70S

The Adams Idea a70S is said to be the new hybrid golf club set. There is a new hollow design that improves the launch of the ball, increases the distances the ball goes, makes it much easier to swing, and helps to make contact with the ball at the proper angle.

Who Should Use the Clubs

The Adams irons and woods are not for everyone. They should be used for a person with a 12 or higher handicap. There is a total weight of 44 grams in the toe and heel of the club head. With this weight distribution, it will allow at least 15 more yards distance wise. This would not be the same with a regular wood or iron. These clubs also help a person that has a very slow swing. This is helpful because the clubs have an oversized head. Therefore, swinging and making contact with the ball is easier.

Do not be left out in the cold. Improve your weekend game and pick up the Adams Idea a70S clubs.
